What a magnificent place!!! Breathtaking views, river sounds and a beautifully appointed house. The pictures online, although beautiful, do not do this place justice. Robin, you have thought of everything to make your guests stay just perfect! We are already planning our next visit.

I can't say enough about this amazing place! From the beginning, the communication w/ Robin (the owner) was top notch. He was always quick to reply to my numerous questions, and had all sorts of suggestions to explore nearby and restaurants to visit. The house itself was a great place to getaway and forget about your everyday routine. There's plenty of trails to hike and explore, fish on the river below the house, or just relax on the back porch while watching the hummingbirds. The house if fully stocked with just about all you need, and everything is labeled for ease of use. From extra towels, to snake guards (still haven't seen a snake on the property), insect repellant, fishing poles, to fire starters...Robin has thought about everything you'll need. Our family can't wait to go back and try out the new jeep rental that was added recently!

Perfect weather, perfect accommodations, down to every detail, with easy access to so much that northern New Mexico has to offer. This was our second visit to the Cliff House. It was so comforting to return to a known commodity while still providing a new adventure. Can’t wait to find an opportunity for another escape.

I can’t say enough about the Pecos River Cliff House! Robin is a fantastic owner to deal with from day 1. He was super quick to respond to my husband and I when we had questions about the house, land, or area in general. The property is secured by 2 gates, both of which are secured by chain and combination lock. The house itself has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, with a steam shower! Everything in the house is labeled which made it a lot easier to find the fire starters one night. :) The master bedroom overlooks the valley below, and the views you have first thing in the morning are breathtaking. There were plenty of places on the property to explore, ample fishing ground, and we even did a little bit of rock climbing. This was truly a magical place and we can’t wait to make it there again (this will be trip #3).

My husband and I stayed 4 days here for our honeymoon and absolutely LOVED it! The view is amazing and so are the trails by the river. The amenities on the inside of the home are great as well. There are speakers throughout the house with Bluetooth hook up along with heated floors, a steam room shower and much more. We had the jeep to take to the fire watch tower and I highly recommend taking that trail up the mountain with the jeep it was truly unforgettable. Robin(the owner) was in contact with us the whole time if we had any questions or needed assistance with anything. We will definitely be coming back to make more memories at this wonderful place. Off the cliff house we also ate, shopped and walked around down town santé fe , I highly recommend spending some time there. Robin recommended places for us to eat that was yummy! Over all a great experience.

I don’t know about you, but I can honestly say, I have never stayed anywhere like this before. When we arrived and walked to the back patio (looking over a cliff) there was an amazing thunderstorm that missed the Cliff House but we were lucky enough to sit and watch it fade away in the distance during early evening into sunset. Sitting there in amazement is what you will do as well, thunderstorm or not. The views are spectacular. The adventure awaits below after a wonderful walk down the cliff stairs. Grab your fishing gear, backpack, water, camera, and sunscreen. Might as well wear a swimsuit because you just may get in the river. Plenty of shade and a couple of fire pits. Take a quick nap in the hammocks by the river. We caught 8 or so fish using night crawlers. We released them all back into the river. Make sure you go both ways. Up the river as far as you can and down the river as far as you can. The house was perfect and as much as you don’t want to leave the river and walk up the steps to the Cliff House you are still super excited to get back up there. If you like hummingbirds this is the place for you. At one point we counted nine at one time on two feeders. They literally will follow you down to the river and keep you company. Especially, if you have a red drink with you. We had a really cool encounter with a beaver on the up river area. We saw the beaver swimming our way and immediately started recording. We were as still as statues and the beaver swam right up to the shore to sniff us and then slapped it’s tail and disappeared into the water. The only regret was not booking this property sooner. We were lucky to reserve two nights on our travels during my 5 week work sabbatical. We stayed at 7 different properties on our adventure around Colorado and New Mexico and as great as they all were this was hands down our favorite of them all. Thank you Robin for your quick responses and for your hospitality. We are looking forward to returning someday. Mike and April

The Pecos River Cliff House is unforgettable. Admittedly, I can be hard to impress but in this case I can't speak highly enough of the venue and all the attention to details. My wife and I are already planning our next stay and look forward to making this a tradition.
